Back to school

Returning to school or nursery after a break can be tricky. We find it helpful the day before starting back to think about what our daughter enjoys doing at school and then talk through her routine for the morning and for her day. We discuss how she's feeling and make sure we have everything ready for the morning. Our @widgitsoftware symbols really help!

Bonfire night

Does your child struggle with events such as bonfire night? As parents we often feel the pressure to make sure our children join in but for some neurodiverse children, fireworks and busy events are too much for them. There are still great ways you can celebrate at home. We made edible sparklers with chocolate fingers, melted chocolate and sprinkles! @cadburyuk

Does your child have sensory needs that mean they find clothing uncomfortable? Our daughter was struggling with socks. We have found @georgeatasda do some amazing seam free ones. We no longer have the battle of putting on socks on a morning!
