Sharon is a Chartered Psychologist who is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She has over 20 years of experience working as an Educational Psychologist (EP) in Local Authorities. During her career, she has provided extensive consultations and support to schools, offering psychological advice to LA's regarding the additional needs of children and young people.
Sharon has been involved in running support interventions such as Portage, ELSA, and the Cygnet Programme. These programs are designed to help parents and carers of autistic children and young people.
In addition to her work as an EP, Sharon has also worked as a primary school teacher and as a SENCo. In these roles, she supported staff in overcoming barriers to learning and in sustaining effective teaching and learning.
Sharon has completed additional study since qualifying as an EP. This includes an MA in Occupational and Organisational Psychology, a PGCE in Leadership and Management (Special and Inclusive Education), and a professional doctorate.
Victoria is passionate about promoting social justice through education. Victoria has over 20 years of experience in the education sector, including 11 years as a senior leader in the SENCo role, where she successfully managed and mentored teams of support staff, SENCos and early career teachers. Victoria has consistently demonstrated leadership skills in diverse educational settings, including primary, secondary, mainstream and specialist schools.
Victoria’s expertise is not just theoretical but has been proven in practice. Victoria has designed comprehensive TA development and effective home-school partnership models. Victoria has also successfully co-created school interventions, all of which have significantly impacted learners with additional needs.
Victoria’s passion for creating a more inclusive and socially just society drives her focus on injustice in the provision for learners with additional needs in the UK education system. Pursuing a second master's degree has allowed her to delve deeper into this issue and find solutions. Victoria is currently researching how to best support autistic girls in schools by creating truly enabling, inclusive environments. Victoria also works with parents as a volunteer for the National Autistic Society. Victoria has shared her expertise in SEND leadership and wellbeing through speeches at national conferences, inspiring others to join her in working towards a better future where everyone has access to equal opportunities.
Victoria’s unique blend of experience as an educational professional, researcher, and parent advocate has given her a deeper understanding of the challenges that create inequality. She is confident that her knowledge, passion, and dedication allow her to create effective provisions and deliver practical training that makes a meaningful difference.
